Here is the long awaited/promised post about the trip to SLIGO.
Our first stop was to Parkes Castle and Lough Gill.
Brief intro about the place: It is a restored castle of the early 17th century. It was home of Robert Parke whom i have no idea who he was.
The Castle was pretty much still preserved. There were those traditional wells. but to enter, there was an entrance fee so i didnt pay.
Our next stop was to the town of SLIGO. Did little shopping. Visited the cathedral and central library. I really think that the architecture is unique and erm, very prehistorical?
Sligo is the largest town in North West of Ireland.
Lastly to Strandhill, which i had already mentioned almost killed me but didnt.
Strandhill is a seaside resort village in County Sligo. Strandhill is facing the Atlantic. The area is a well known surfing destination and is amongst Ireland's premiere surfing resorts due to its strong beach break.
Yup, there were sooo many surfers. and on that day, the waves were supposedly good thus the large number of surfers.
And i thought climbing the Strandhill was tough enough. i was wrong alryte. Connemara trip was the killer. Really damn tough or I am extremely unfit. haha, most probably it is both.
Connection sucks here and laptop keeps giving problem. Keeps hanging and lagging and just nothing good.
